To help Patients access a GP we run Improved Access clinics from 18.30 – 20.00 Monday to Friday, and Saturday mornings from 08.30 – 11.00 as a group of 11 locally based practices:

  • Abbey Manor Medical Practice
  • Hendford Lodge Medical Centre
  • Ryalls Park Medical Centre
  • Penn Hill Surgery
  • Preston Grove Medical Centre
  • Martock Surgery & South Petherton Medical Centre
  • Crewkerne Health Centre
  • Hamdon Medical Centre
  • West Coker Surgery
  • Oaklands Surgery
  • Buttercross Health Centre

The Diamond Health Group Improved Access Clinics are based at Hendford Lodge Medical Centre, we open alternate Monday and Tuesday evenings and alternate Saturday mornings. We offer Diamond Health Group Patients a range of services such as telephone consultations with a GP, Health Coach group classes and face to face consultations with the Nursing Team. Please speak to Reception for more details.

Additionally from 18.30 – 20.00 during the week and Saturday mornings one or more of the listed practices will be open and available to patients from any of the listed practices for appointments for the following reasons:

  • Wound care
  • Dressings
  • Suture removal

If you have a relevant medical concern and cannot attend an appointment within standard clinic hours you will be offered an appointment at one of the other Practices in our group.

The majority of these appointments are pre-booked ahead of time however on a Saturday we offer one appointment slot with the Nursing Team that can be booked on the day for urgent access needs; to book this you will need to attend the practice in person on the day as the phone lines will not be open.

Please note that due to the availability of out of hours services, for example 111 and the Out of Hours GP Service, we only offer one appointment to book the same day, before you attend the surgery please be aware that we therefore cannot guarantee its availability and you may be asked to contact 111 instead.
